Why a nudge fired

Every nudge is designed to map back to a specific task and its deadline, never a guess.

Nudges are still in development and not in the app yet. This page describes how they will work once we release them.

Once nudges are released, each one will be tied to one task on your list and the deadline attached to it, so you'll always be able to trace it back to something real: a task just caught, a task due today, or a task that's slipped and is now overdue.

The daily briefing covers the rest

Rather than a nudge for every task on your plate, the plan is for your day's tasks to arrive as one briefing: what's due today, plus anything still open. That's meant to keep the rest of your nudges specific instead of piling up.

Tap through to the task

The plan is for tapping a nudge to open straight to the task it's about, its detail view if it's already on your list, or the review screen if it's a fresh catch waiting on a keep or drop.

Once nudges are live, if one doesn't line up with a task you recognise, you'll be able to open it and check the excerpt, it will always point back to where it came from.
